180 \\"Please see the following guidelines for admission to the Mercy ED Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). This unit within the ED serves as an area where patients with subacute problems can be managed until a final decision is made regarding their disposition with the expectation that there is a high likelihood of discharge home. It is my understanding that the other hospitals within the system do not have such a model and it has created some misunderstandings about when to utilize this unit and when not. Attached is a guideline for the admission criteria to the CDU as formulated by the ED staff."
